The name, Eduardo Harpa, came about after seeing how everyone always recorded my name on their cellphone. I ended up turning it into my website and email.

I started working as a musician in 2008, and it's been a strange road. I've worked with orchestra, but never liked it, I prefer playing solo or with small groups. I frequently perform at bars, restaurants, theatres, museums, festivals, cerimonies, private events, and very regularly on boats owned by the Douro Azul company. I've also worked on films, I wrote music for a documentary ("Um Filme Português"), and collaborated on the soundtrack of another one ("Sefarad").

My musical approach is different from other harpists, much less classical, not only because I play rock, but also because in the middle of concerts I like to tell funny stories about the weird things that happen in the different places I perform at.

And I teach the harp at home, in Porto.
